it was an expensive project known at the time as the “big dig,” but there were huge cost overruns, and then the roof suddenly collapsed on the natives as they ran to work. the cost overruns brought the entire civilization to bankrupcy.

(of course, they had no chariots, because they had not invented the wheel!)

No doubt the imams will say that Mohammed got on his magic horse and went back in time to ancient Mesoamerica to supervise the construction of this pyramid to honor his moon god.
