I wonder if she gifted the reception to a charity like the
Salvation Army if she can deduct it from her taxes?
Carmel is a very high end fancy community north of Indy. I bet the residents were not very happy with this chick.
Carmel cops look funny at folks driving beaters in that community. LOL
Maybe she’s hoping for a last minute negotiation by the facility. Either refund all or most of my $30K, or risk having your fancy reception hall smelling like urine and dirty underwear forevermore. You choose!
Another poster was right;
Why not just invite those original guests? I’m sure most of them had already spent money on new clothes, shoes, etc.
She wants the attention, with everyone thanking her, saying ‘how bad they feel for her’ canceling the wedding.
$30K for just a reception? Oy!
Could be she is a control freak bridezilla.
Wedding vendors are brutal in general. No matter what the reason they never refund deposits nor final payments—never.
Could be she is a control freak bridezilla.
You offer a superb alternate scenario. In addition to dancing, I have visions of little old ladies providing lifetimes of advice to the jilted bride. Chuckles...
It also tells any future suitors, to stay far far away.
What would the reception place say about this?
They are prepping for a bridal reception and here marches in 100’s of homeless?
“What would the reception place say about this?”
They have no say,and in all fairness sometimes drunken family and friends can be worse.
.
Did you see her picture? Fools rush in as they say, I’ll bet the Ritz was thrilled about this /s.
He dodged that bullet.
Hold on she called it off ONE WEEK AGO...
I can understand she might lose the deposit...
But why would she be liable for the whole bill ???
wouldn’t the balance be due AFTER the event...or during it ???
If I was spending $30,000 there’d be some negotiating involved...
Right, the fresh food, cake etc were not prepared or purchased.

exactly..
Is there such a thing as Wedding Insurance, like we have with Trip Insurance?
And Google is forever. Just wait until she’s in another relationship and the guy Googles her name.
