Let’s hope not. I’ve been dealing with a real, live crazy on YouTube of late. His last aggressive message to me was about my putting up the News playlist about 9/11, which he called old news. Its not to me. I wrote about this to a lovely FPer recently. That day has to be remembered. A lot of what is up now about that day has been sanitized, like Father Judge being killed by falling debris rather than by a falling woman. I think the issue of protecting the feelings of those who lost people that day is an excuse for not letting people feel the pain as deeply as they did at first. Its a political changing of memories so that the young never know. I went to U of Chicago, where we studied source material rather than text books. Keeping these videos alive is my version of source material. No one on FR comes close to that YouTube gentleman.
Thank you so much. We must never lose the Truth of that day!
I didn't know that.
I heard the official line that it was a piece of glass that hit him.
Actually, I think the real story was that he simply collapsed and died of a heart attack.
If you've watched the famous documentary from those two French film students who were embedded with the FDNY engine company in lower Manhattan all summer and just happened to be there with them on a call when the whole thing unfolded, you can see some brief clips of him and then a segment where the firefighters in the WTC haul him out with them after the first tower came down. He had no obvious signs of trauma and was inside the lobby of the other building the whole time.
They said that it wasn’t true that a body killed him.
