Well that helps, knowing they are “friendly” as spiders go, but my brain freezes at “freakishly big”. I’d still be freaked out for days if I found one of those things IN MY HOUSE.

I kinda like spiders. We once had a big yellow n black one on a basement door leading to an outside patio. We named him Norman and he stayed for the summer.

I don’t kill them in my house unless they’re widows or recluses.

I like stink bugs and snakes too. (I grew up with a bunch of guys and we almost never played indoors.)

Regular centipedes, absolutely... But I've found that in Kansas City, we have "house centipedes," and I FREAKED OUT the first time I saw one scurry across the floor (they are FAST!)

That first one I saw was about 4" long! Once I calmed down, and found out what they are and what they do (harmless to us, but voracious hunters of other insects,) I now welcome them. They're really fast, and they look a lot longer than they really are, due to the really long far-end legs. Most I've seen are about 2" long. I've never had a cricket get into my place that lasted more than a day before it stopped chirping.

When I was about 4-5 y.o. as I reached for a mug at grandma’s house and one ran up my arm. The trauma was too great!(LOL!)
