But at least most of the boomers had siblings. Now so many Xers and millennials have “only-child syndrome” that it is much worse.

The are likewise taught that professional teachers and liberal government officials are much wiser than earlier generations. I believe Goebbels said of von Ribbentrop something to the effect ‘’He married his money, borrowed his name and swindled his way into office’’. The ‘’von’’ in his name was something he more or less begged off of a distant relative. His real job in life before being the Nazi Foreign Minister was a liquor salesman. That was one of another of Goebbels digs , referring to him as ‘’That champagne salesman’’.
Everybody hated von Ribbentrop.

Oh, yeah. Ex-Hitler Youth leader Baldur von Schirach was interviewed after the war by David Frost - it's HERE - and Frost asked him whether he thought Hitler was crazy and if so, when he knew. Von Schirach said that he knew Hitler was crazy when Hitler said that Ribbentrop was a genius.
