The bus didn't fall into the river, nor did that section of the bridge; however, it was a ghastly fall and jolt for the passengers.

My clearest memory of the accident was how the Democrats immediately jumped on the opportunity to blame GWB for the failing infrastructure in the USA. I was living in a California, so it wasn’t a local story. And maybe it was just the SoCal alphabet channels hammering the angle of the infrastructure. Hope the kids have moved on....what a frightening accident!

It was reported as a "design flaw," but as usual, no one was ever found culpable and no one went to jail. They even tried to blame it on pigeon poop that corroded certain vital parts.
Couldn't have been union kickbacks or shoddy construction. Nah, not in Minneapolis ...

My SIL was going to take that route to work that day - but luckily she was running late!
President Trump just had a meeting with Governors and other City Planers.
I’m hoping against HOPE that we can fix our infrastructure problems and get on with Life As We Know It.
You cannot HAVE free commerce without roads and bridges and railways and ‘stuff’ to get from Point A to Point B!
But, ya-know the Socialists HATE that kind of stuff; Freedom for ME, but NOT for Thee!
