Thanks for the clip, although listening to JW sing is a painful experience for some of us. Writing is his strong suit. Singing, not so much. Incidentally, if you’re in Galveston and you see those bunkers, you actually could be envisioning a war of that era. But putting that aside, I found Jimmy a bit condescending toward Glen at 0:32 (”Let’s all go to war.”) Were he truly married to those convictions, he should have refused all proceeds from the success of Glen’s mega hit of this song. < /sarc >
