Active Region 2673 (AR 2673) blasted out yet another solar flare early this morning (Sept. 8), its sixth intense burst of high-energy radiation since Monday (Sept. 4).
The latest flare, which peaked at 3:49 a.m. EDT (0749 GMT), registered as an M8.1 on scientists' three-tiered classification scale. ("C" flares are the weakest of the three, "M" flares are 10 times stronger than C's, and "X" events are 10 times more intense than M's. Two of the six recent flares from AR 2673 were X-class — including Wednesday's (Sept. 6) monster X9.3, which was the most powerful solar flare since 2005.
Strong solar flares are often accompanied by coronal mass ejections (CMEs), eruptions that send clouds of superheated solar plasma racing into space at several million miles per hour. CMEs that slam into Earth can trigger geomagnetic storms, which can temporarily disrupt power grids and interfere with satellite communications, among other negative effects.

BUT, Coronal Mass Ejections are real deal. They do affect more than weather.
I'm sure the UN is well aware of this and is presently studying a way to protect the world and its sattelites. ALgore will certainly get behind this and along with Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Jimmy Carter, George H. W. Bush, Hillary and Bill Clinton sign an agreement with the UN promising to have the US contribute 92.12% of the funding while Congress crafts a bill to show its support of the plan. Of course President Trump will veto it and the UNIPARTY and MSM will decry his utter disdain for the minorities that will be hit hardest.

These solar flares were caused by manmade global warming. It is pulling them from the sun. The only solution is to tax breathing... err, carbon emissions. Of course, liberals can not be expected to make any personal sacrifices because they did the heavy lifting of being concerned and demonstrating self-righteous indignation. Al Gore will receive massive carbon tax credit donations for all that he has done for the cause. So he can continue to exhale massive amounts of carbon and hot air from his mouth. We will stop these anti-science nuts from causing more solar flares even if we have to kill them. /s

Well it sure went quiet last night. If it hadn’t been for a nearly full moon, it would have been pitch black outside!
Yes this is alarming! No has heard it in a very long time. Maybe it is sulking?
Science is. Sunspots and CME’s are real. Political charlatans should never be allowed to play politics with it.
We were just discussing last night if solar flares could have anything to do with hurricanes.
