It looks more Chinese than Egyptian.

Old Kingdom artwork usually depicted the eyes like that. Egyptian power, influence and commerce was extended into what is now Israel for centuries. The city could have been a client state of Egypt off and on for a millenium. Having a statue of the Pharaoh’s head was probably a common way of showing vassalage.
The apparent curly hair seems African, since the nose has been broken off, it is hard to tell what ethnicity it might be. Asian might be small, African larger and wider, and Semitic even more pronounced. This head might have been moved during the uncertainties of the First Intermediate Period which fluctuated in severity over around 150 years, just before 2,000 BC.
