I just made an account there and transferred photos. I'll redo my FR home page soon.
Thanks for the advice.
I just save everything to my computer, transferred everything I wanted from PB. When it comes to a site using third party hosting I just don’t post pictures. In fact FR is the only site I visit that still requires it.
So how does it work on other sites? Do you upload images to the site?
They have a search option that looks through your pictures, downloads or desktop and load from there.
Are you saying the site accesses your hard drive, with your permission, and transfers files from your computer to their server?
Thanks for giving me the guts to put father’s poetry up in chat. Mother left him when I was 6 weeks old and he died when I was 8, so discovering his poetry has been the only way I’ve known him.

All I know is it gives you the option to open and upload from pictures, downloads or desk top. Photobucket did the same thing, I suspect imgur does to.
Yes, imgr and photobucket allow you to upload. That’s how they work. Imgr lets you post them third party, but PB makes you pay for that privilege. You said FR was the only site you visited that used third party posting of images and I don’t see how else to do it without keeping all your pix on your hard drive, with a heavy usage of GBs, then putting your image into the host server directly, rather than links as FR does. I was wondering how any other way would work.
That’s the key! I keep all my pictures on the hard drive so they cannot be held for ransom like PB tried to do.
My images are still on PB. I just copied them over the Imgr, from whence they can be third-party posted. I’m too lazy to delete them all at PB.
I didn’t delete anything just copied and put the ones I wanted back into my system. They can choke on the rest of them!
