Yep, the episode was classic enough to be mimicked in later shows, such as "The Wonder Years".
Besides, it also had that great "Givers of Pain and Delight" quip. I remember hearing my dad chortle a bit at that line. I was too young to immediately grasp the meaning back then, but I figured it out a few years later.
