Check the pre-dawn eastern sky and you’ll see Mars very close to Venus. Venus is far brighter, look to the right for Mars. I saw this on Thursday morning, quite a close encounter. No fireballs though.

You understand that Venus is closer to the Sun than Earth and Mars is further from the Sun than Earth and that even though they might be off in the same general direction relative to Earth, they are not close to us or to each other at all, right? I mean, I’m just making sure...
