BTW, in the movie Rollerball which was made in 1975, the game was played in the “future year of 2018”. So the time is now to play it......

The only reason Rollerball isn’t a sport is that the writer wouldn’t sell the rights to it. There were big money people interested in backing a real life league. He died in 2013 so there now may be a chance of seeing it.
I read that while wrapping up the movie company had the stuntmen do a demo game to gin up interest in the movie. The crowd that came to see it was twice the stadium’s capacity.
