Regarding the windows - We’ve only seen pictures that are post-breach.
We don’t know how big those openings were at the time of the shooting.
Since the breach likely involved a concussive blast - it’s possible the windows weren’t as “open” at the time of the shooting - and breach blasted out the loose parts.
I never quite got the “used a hammer to break the windows” - why not just blast them? - unless he thought it was a safety glass he could shatter and then poke a hole through - leaving most of the window intact/hanging.

Okay, this brings up my question to a colleague at work the other day: why didn’t people in rooms nearby report all the mayhem coming from that room (machine gun fire)? I haven’t seen any reports of 911 audio. My co-worker said the rooms are sound proofed, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Is that true? Could they have been that unaware of hundreds of rounds going off a few doors down? Or above? Below?
One fellow they interviewed thought it was noise from the concert - he was trying to sleep. Not until the cops showed up at his door to evacuate him - did he know what was going on.

No muzzle flash in this live video from the concert area... also no one appears to be injured while “gunfire” is sounding (probably recorded sound effects pumped through the concert’s PA system).

I distintly recall the reports, to include from the police, that the smoke alarms in the room were set off by the smoke from the guns being fired. And that it was the fire alarms that enabled the police to locate the rooms he was shooting from.

The muzzle devices on his weapons may have also helped reduce this flash signature even further. Additionally, the type of ammo, air flow up or along the building face (extinguishing or carrying burning propellant away quickly), and viewing distance from the shooter also reduced his visibility.
Another factor that may be more of a weak theory (I haven't developed it much further than a cursory thought) is the cameras used by witnesses typically only capture a few frames per second (25-30fps) and this may have a significant effect on video/audio, as far as an accurate recording of what viewers may have actually witnessed with the naked eye/ear.

first of all, you’re looking at a 240p video and getting bugeyed.
Pull this one up, but before you start it, click settings, 1080p, and set your speed to 0.25. Now, this guy is going to slow things down on his film. The clip will repeat slowed down, and again, slower still, so with added slowing you’re going to see it.
Intersect the bottom diagonal line of the reflected mandalay sign with the corner of the building. That’s the imaginary line you want to trace for your shooter. Below the suite area are two dots, just above the palm trees (two windows one above the other)- you’ll see them being temporarily hidden by smoke. The shooter is one or two dot’s worth above those two dots, if that makes sense. Watch real close the first 8 seconds and you’ll see both windows light up, one after the other. Later on, you might see both windows light up at what appears to be the same time, or not (I can’t get it slow enough on my cow of a computer to really tell).

Horace “Woody” Woodring, Patton’s driver, was my cousin. I attended his funeral in ‘03. He was driving Patton’s car when the accident happened. He always maintained it was just an accident and anything claiming else wise, or anything saying he said otherwise, was pure fabrication and lies.

I have no answer for the 32nd floor rooms, whether they were occupied or cleared. Some reports indicated they were cleared.
I did hear a telephone interview from a very shaky young man stuck in a room alone, located directly above shooter’s room. His voice was trembling. He said the rounds were loud and he was told not to leave his room.
Can’t answer anything about Charlottesville’s Deep State crisis actors, which were discovered right here on FR, can you?
