I started out with Kodachrome 12 then moved on to 25 then mostly 64. It gave amazing detail. Kodachrome had vibrant beautiful colors tho maybe not as accurate as Ektacrome.
Ektacrome also had more grain for the same speed.
I will say one of the best shots I ever made was of a little cutie standing at an overlook showing the Blue Ridge Mountains in full Fall color as back drop.
I had the 35mm slide made into an 8x10 print as a gift for for her and it amazed me how sharp it was. I made another copy for myself. It didn’t hurt that the girl was really pretty.
I've been sorting my slides to have converted to digital. The cheapest way is I pay to rent those carousel cartridges and load them myself, plus I use my lens brush to dust each one front and back. I want to do the sizing and touch-up work and will have to just select a few for that.
Fall is one of the best time to take pictures. You could have taught me a thing or two back then but I was always impatient about some things. I think that's why my dad just turned me loose heh. He used a light meter. That was too much of a mystery for me.
OMGosh look what I found, didn't know it had hopped over to my present computer lol. I have some from other places, most not scanned, but this is the particular one that came to mind when I wrote what I did.
