The Truth About Taxes is a 1940 campaign film for presidential candidate Wendell Willkie which argues that President Roosevelt’s New Deal policies waste money and weaken the nation. The film was produced by the Republican Party.

Low taxes = a pay raise, promotion: WE WIN!

High taxes = a pay cut, demotion: WE LOSE!

WE WIN EVERY TIME with low taxes and LOSE EVER TIME with high taxes.

If C-SPAN staff were reading FRee Republic then they would know that most federal domestic taxing and spending programs, including Obamacare, are unconstitutional imo.

Patriots need to make sure that there are plenty of state sovereignty-respecting, Trump-supporting patriot candidates on the primary ballots and pink-slip career lawmakers by sending patriot candidate lawmakers to DC on election day 2018.

but touting war (even in 1940) was a poor campaign idea

I may agree. you may agree. in 1940 we all here probably could see how we desperately needed to arm up, yes indeed
there was tremendous danger

but a lot of Americans still hoped to avoid the war somehow
(and Pearl Harbor had not happened yet)

so I am guessing this very fine campaign film probably scared a lot of voters ?????

This made me wonder how I would find out about such a candidate. The Republicans aren’t going to help, and the local media are in the claws of the forces of evil.

In case you haven’t seen the following constitutional facts and Supreme Court clarifications guaranteed to stump and frustrate candidates and incumbents, you might find them interesting. (Make sure that you know where all the exits are before asking these points, and please report blank look reactions if you do challenge candidates.)

Patriots need to qualify candidates by asking them why the Founding States made the Constitution’s Section 8 of Article I; to limit (cripple) the federal government’s powers.

Patriots also need to make sure that candidates are knowledgeable of the Supreme Court's clarifications of the federal government’s limited powers listed here.

Also, unlike career members of Congress who wrongly remained silent while misguided state officials abridged the constitutionally enumerated rights of citizens during the lawless Obama Administration, patriots need to make sure that candidates on the 2018 primary ballots commit to the following.

Candidates need to commit to making and enforcing 14th Amendment-related laws to prosecute misguided state officials who use state powers to abridge constitutionally enumerated protections, 1st Amendment-protected religious expression and free speech for example, such actions prohibited by Section 1 of the 14th Amendment.

”14th Amendment, Section 1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”
