There is no monolithic black community. “Black community” is a political construct designed to create an illusion of unity where there is none.

The black poor are all members of the Black Urban Subculture that will not be educated nor work.

We have seen recently the Black Jock Subculture that has the means to eradicate the poverty in question but will not. The Black Political Subculture will not allow it.

A college recently had black students protesting that the college was admitting too many blacks from Africa and the Caribbean. However, I can understand the college seeking to both increase foreign student enrollment for the tuition and international prestige while meeting its diversity quota without having to deal with entitled Democrats.

Can't be said enough. The single most racist part of leftist identity politics is to treat all blacks as the same (well, after crucifying the conservatives).
