My daughter and I were hiking on a Red Rocks trail a week prior to this on September 30 and were warned by a little Mexican guy that there was a rattlesnake on the trail at the top. And two ladies coming down the trail told us of a bullsnake they had seen.
What an ass. Who sees a rattler on a well used public trail and doesn’t kill it? I just don’t understand people.
Glad you didn’t come across the critter.
Hmm. Sounds like the start of a joke. A man was walking down the trail when a little Mexican man approached from the opposite direction. The man asked, Hola, amigo! See any wildlife today? The Mexican man replied, Nothing but a teeny, tiny rattler, vato. The man continued on and some ladies approached. He asked them, Have you seen a rattler, ladies? They giggled and said, Oh, we saw it. But, it couldnt have been more than a garter snake! The man continued on and saw a very stern park ranger. He asked the ranger if hed seen any snakes, and the ranger replied, There are no snakes in this area. Now, zip your fly before I have you arrested!
