In the late fifties-early 60s I worked at a recording studio in mid-town Manhattan.
One of the record producers who would buy studio time was Phil Spector. During a break one afternoon Phil liked to amble around the studio, proudly showing off his snub-nose Smith & Wesson 38.
There are many musicians who can tell stories about Phil taking out his weapon & waving it around during recording sessions. He was fascinated with guns.
Great example of a guy with super talents in one domain who at the same time is a total nut job and shouldn't be allowed to walk around without a keeper.
Of course he can't walk around without a keeper now, but someone had to die in order to make it so.
And that someone was a female, so it kind of reinforces the point.
