I’m convinced she cared more about gaining politically from the deaths of these agents than about honoring them.
She mentioned Republicans and Democrats favorably. Both sides should just walk back on this one. she also talked about the slain FBI agents too, we get nowhere arguing the fine points on this one issue. If we leave it alone the Independents will side with us on the entire topic. If we continue to try to win on this particular point we risk snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

General Kelly got the details wrong, if this is the speech he’s talking about. BUT - his impression was certainly right.
A preening, self-important, credit grabber, who took the first FIVE MINUTES to talk about herself and her connections in Congress/Senate and only FOUR MINUTES to talk about the FBI agents and the gunfight. She did ask all the LEOs present to stand, though, and get some applause, so that’s good.
