Jacoby Ellsbury’s Agent Thinks He Should Have Played More

Jacoby Ellsbury’s lack of playing time during the postseason certainly didn’t go unnoticed by Scott Boras.

“I do know this, Jacoby is a player you want to be out there in the postseason,’’ Ellsbury’s agent told The Post on Monday, two days after the Yankees lost Game 7 of the ALCS to the Astros in Houston.

Boras pointed to the 34-year-old Ellsbury’s postseason performances and that the left-handed hitting outfielder helped the Red Sox win World Series titles in 2007 and 2013.

The Yankees should have put him in the last game to replace Aaron Hicks who did nothing in the series.

Hicks had two more hits than Ellsbury. The only thing Ellsbury helped with, was being a pinch runner.

I wonder who Ellsbury will be traded for in the offseason. That kind of talk ruins the clubhouse.

They owe him so much money, they may not be able to trade hi,. Why do you think they kept Alex Rodriguez so long?

Even Manny Ramirez, Adrian Gonzalez & Carl Crawford found a home with the Dodgers. That was an expensive trade.

Depends on how much salary they’re willing to eat. (of c ourse, the general rule is that the more money you eat, the better talent you get in return.)

Believe me, the Yankees would have traded Ellsbury in a heartbeat to ANYONE. They’d even eat most of his salary to be rid of him. I don’t know WHAT they were thinking giving him such an enormous contract, but he’s been a far below-average hitter since they signed him. (He NEVER was worth 1/10th of what they paid him, a #7-type hitter.)

The one thing is that he did have a better season this year than he’s had with the Yankees, and MAYBE someone might be willing to take him if the Yankees agree to pay most of his salary.

He can’t hit. Take the money and run.
These ball players never have to work another day in their lives.
Big money. The owners make up for the millions they pay in salaries in ballcap and souvenir clothing sales alone.
Don’t worry about him. The Yankees do need to send him sailing. He fooled them. If I got a $100 million contract, I’d go numb and wouldn’t be worth a damn too. I’d be in shock someone could give me that much money. Little Jacoby is crying all the way to the bank.
