Occam’s razor suggests he was/is compromised and therefore easily controlled.

It would be nice if more people subscribed a bit more to Occam’s razor theoretical approach. This alone would weed out a lot of the junk that gets put out there.
Convoluted planning and execution are not usually employed in most activities.
