So among the evidence that Snopes affirms is that in order to support the founder of Uranium One
( Frank Giustra, who sold his entire stake in the company three years before the Russia deal) charitable endeavors with Mr. Clinton, then Ian Telfer, the company’s chairman, donated $1 million (reported) in 2009, the year his company appealed to the American Embassy to help it keep its mines in Kazakhstan; $250,000 in 2010, the year the Russians sought majority control; as well as $600,000 in 2011 and $500,000 in 2012.

Yet it can be said that none of these revelations prove that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton participated in a quid pro quo agreement to accept payment for approval of the Uranium One deal.

But while these revelations alone do not “prove” the allegations of quid pro quo agreement, it certainly does not mean that along with other evidence the weight of evidence may warrant the conclusion of a tacit quid pro quo agreement,
