He Fights...

My Leftist friends (as well as many ardent #NeverTrumpers) constantly ask me if I’m not bothered by Donald Trump’s lack of decorum. They ask if I don’t think his tweets are “beneath the dignity of the office.” Here’s my answer:

We Right-thinking people have tried dignity. There could not have been a man of more quiet dignity than George W. Bush as he suffered the outrageous lies and politically motivated hatreds that undermined his presidency. We tried statesmanship. Could there be another human being on this earth who so desperately prized “collegiality” as John McCain? We tried propriety – has there been a nicer human being ever than Mitt Romney? And the results were always the same.

This is because, while we were playing by the rules of dignity, collegiality and propriety, the Left has been, for the past 60 years, engaged in a knife fight where the only rules are those of Saul Alinsky and the Chicago mob.

...ask me if I’m not bothered by Donald Trump’s lack of decorum.

Yet, they turned a blind eye to Clinton being serviced in the Oval Office by a young intern.

I dont have any leftist friends. Thats a fact.

Have a couple of family members who are democrat, and I wont have anything to do with them. OH they’ll call me, and I always ask, what do you want? Because they always want something.

Keeps my mind at peace not dealing with them.

Not to mention "Could there be another human being on this earth who so desperately prized 'collegiality' as John McCain?"

Does collegiality mean a moron frat boy who can't control his temper or his viciously ugly mouth?

Oh come now—surely you don’t suggest that Bubba turning the Oval Office into his personal ejaculatorium was worse than Trump occasionally tweeting things that hurt the Snowflakes’ feefees? This is a real crisis!

Oh they didn’t turn a blind eye to what Bill Clinton did with Monica Lewinsky. What they did was much worse. They excused him. They minimized what he did to the fullest extent possible. Day after day. Night after night. They excused Bill Clinton. Like they had excused Ted Kennedy for Chappaquidick a quarter century earlier. If, as a group, the Democrats ever had a soul, they began to lose it at Chappaquidick and lost what remained of it with Bill Clinton’s presidency. It’s been all downhill for them ever since, and can be argued that the old Democrat party does not exist anymore. It’s hollow shell has been filled with hard core Marxists/Communists.

Indeed. Hear hear. As a former liberal I've been telling conservatives for years to NEVER try the Marquis of Queensbury Rules with the Left. They see civility as bourgeois and a sign of weakness. With Leftists I'm down and dirty and if need be I tell them I'll kick their teeth in and I mean it. Long past fed up with these Brown Shirts and their violence.

I agree completely. The beginning of the infection goes back to Woodrow Wilson, and his Progressive ilk.

Sayet must’ve gotten this from the same email that I saw it in a couple of months back...so it isn’t an original thought.

As for the thought itself - it works for me. I voted for Trump BECAUSE he was a fighter for himself for nearly 50 years in one of the most cut-throat businesses out there, and promised to do the same for our benefit (and, after all, why would a guy who was 69 and a multi-billionaire run for President, knowing that it’d be Hellish at best, if he didn’t want what was best for this country?). So the lack of decorum is a big net plus for me - Eff’em if they don’t like it, too.

“Progressives,” not as we understand the term today, predate Wilson although he was our nation’s first true Leftist as we understand it. The original progressive movement in the US had its roots in the backlash against Industrial Revolution excesses. It’s the movement that gave us the income tax and direct election of senators, among other misguided “reforms.” Teddy Roosevelt is probably the most famous of that prototype progressive. But it was a perfect cloak for the rise of Marxism and its first derivative, communism. As such, it was a fertile ground for the Marxists of that day to sow their bitter seeds, which began to grow under Wilson, FDR and their successors. I agree with many that Wilson was among our worst, if not the worst president in our history.

Yes, I know that all too well.
As for FDR, there was a man whose cabinet was infected with various forms of Fellow Traveler (including apologists for Stalin).
