When I was in sixth grade elementary school both of the sith grade classes were combined due to building construction so we had two teachers, both male.
There was a 14 year old kid who had just moved into the new low-cost housing about a mile away and he had been held back three times due to grade and disciplinary problems. For some reason which I forget now the kid escalated some type of argument with one of the teachers and actually tried to attack the teacher. Mr Schumaker grabbed the kid by the throat and slammed him against a wall then pinned his arms behind his back, marched him to the office and we never saw the kid again.
The next year in seventh grade Junior High I saw the same kid on the first day of school. It seems that the kid turned 14 and by regulations had to be promoted to seventh grade. Anyway, that kid got into some kind of big trouble with the Vice Principle about two weeks in and we never saw him again in the three years of Junior High.
We need to go back to the days where teachers can use real discipline to keep the heathens in check.
One of the benefits was that we actually learned something. For starters, I am certain every kid in my class could read, read and write cursive, and were drilled and memorized the times tables.
That would mean going back to the days before no-fault divorce, abortion, drug abuse, prayer in school, going to church on Sunday because the malls didn’t exist and stores closed. Smaller towns, slower cars, no tech.
Our diet has changed too with processed foods, soy, high fructose corn syrup. There may be aborted baby stuff in their vaccines. Life sure has changed. Kids have it rough. The suicide rate is climbing.
