I grow garlic that has large bulbs but it is not elephant garlic.
I THINK it’s a variety called Great Northern, which found in a Territorial Seeds catalog.
Anyways, I’ve saved enough and grown enough over the years, that now I plant about 100 cloves to get almost that many bulbs and then share them with friends and my kids.
I think it’s a hardneck variety and I hear the softneck stores better but is not as cold tolerant. I live in CNY and it needs to be able to survive the winter.
Anyone have any good suggestions?
Keep on doing what you are doing. Why mess with success?
