“Everyone should, but there needs to be a lot more proof before I’m going to turn on Moore.”

I agree.

If this is true I think it is pure pragmatism, not based on Moore having “done it” or not.

I don’t know, but the idea is elect Sessions via write-in, get a new attorney general. This based not on Moore’ “guilt” but on concern the smear is working. Substituting Sessions in this scenario would lessen the chance the Dem might win.

In this scenario Moore would have to be on board and endorse Sessions.

All that said, I have no idea if this report is true or not.

I think Sessions has been Trump’s biggest mistake so far.

The repubs just turned a red state over to a marx-o-crat senatewhore. The stalinists can put up a corpse like lautenberg and win a senate seat. The ‘pubs mince and wet their panties when asked to fight bck.

It’s not about proving it. It’s about politics and media. And Moore doesn’t have Trump’s cash or political savvy.

"So far I’m not buying into the charges leveled at him."

Me either. The man's held various public offices for many years, and these women just now come out of the woodwork, from 40 years ago to keep him from office? Surely at least one of them would have been dug up decades ago if anything untoward had occurred. The reason these allegations weren't fabricated back then is that Moore wasn't a threat to McConnell as a judge, but as a Senator, and Bannon-backed candidate, he obviously is now. The fact that McConnell spent millions to get Luther Strange elected in the primary is all anybody needs to know. Mitch is a sore loser, and like the Dems, and likely with the help of the Dems, will go to any length, and do anything just to get the results he wants.

For the good of the Republic, the Democrat must be defeated. He is a Hillary clone, and an utter horror.

Yep. What else is there to say...

This is from one of the top featured stories on Breitbart:

‘Limbaugh explained how it was his opinion those charges were meant to send a message to former Donald Trump chief strategist and Breitbart chief executive Steve Bannon, who has publicly said he seeks to take on all Republicans that back McConnell as Senate Majority Leader.

“Whether Judge Moore did the deed or deeds or not, what’s really happening here folks, if you really want to know – it’s a multi-faceted search-and-destroy mission here,” Limbaugh said. “But what’s really driving this – do not doubt me about this. But what’s really driving this is Mitch McConnell saying to Steve Bannon, ‘Really? You think you’re going to get your guys elected? You think you are going to get your guys elected and me kicked out of here? Really? Seriously? OK, watch this.’”

“Don’t forget, Judge Moore is – Trump did not endorse him, but Steve Bannon, I don’t know – endorsed, chose, go behind, supports, what have you,” he continued. “And Bannon has been very upfront about the objective he has, and that’s to get Mitch McConnell out of the Senate. And so I don’t think – even if all we had was one allegation against Judge Moore, this was going to be it for Judge Moore. It didn’t matter because this is now being used to send a message to Bannon and his group that you just – you think you’re going to get rid of me, well take a look at what’s going to happen every time you try. So that clearly is a factor here.”’

Sorry, it’s Moore who’s turning it over. If he stays in and is the candidate, it’s very likely he’ll lose, whether these are lies or not.

He should step down and ask Sessions (popular in AL) to take his place. This would get Sessions out of a totally unsuitable job - who the heck suggested him to Trump? - and keep the seat in the GOP.

And then, if he’s innocent, he should sue the socks off of the WP and the accusers.

The 16 year old has revealed his autograph (possibly a fake), in her yearbook. If this autograph was given after the incident, that becomes VERY problematic to her claim.

If he forced some 16 year old to do something she didn’t want, I couldn’t support him.

Part of her story was that he locked the doors and she couldn’t get out of the car.

Door locks generally prevent people from getting in, not out. Some models back then could have had a child-lock block on unlocking the door. Again, we’d have to know more to see if her claims could possibly be true.

I want to know if these women are getting money.

This goes to character, devotion to their current political leanings, and other things that might impact this.

"But over the past few days, Bannon has begun privately taking the temperature of those in his inner circle to see what they think of the Moore allegations and to get their sense of how to proceed, according to four knowledgeable sources."

Putting words into Bannon's mouth. If I had been selected to work with/for Bannon. I would bet a most important factor regarding my selection would be my demonstrated ability to KEEP MY MOUTH SHUT!

Strap on your tin foil—> Any chance this is part of a Machiavellian scheme to get liberals very clearly on the record on this issue? I always found it interesting that Trump endorsed his opponent. Maybe his team had an inkling this was coming.

I agree with your thoughts there.

This is a mess, but I lean toward it being a contrivance.

No, but he does seem to be weathering the storm. He’s reported to be ten points ahead.

I know there have been other polls, but they seem to emerge from Leftist entities. The same entities that said Hillary was 93% likely to win a year ago.

I agree with you on all that too.

I’d say having to go back 38 years to find dirt on a guy, makes it pretty clear he has been squeaky clean for 38 years.
