You may be right. There were some models back then that had interesting percs. I just didn’t want to rule out anything.
One thing should be said here. I think it’s the window settings, and not the door locks in the back.
I don’t think you ever set it up so you can’t exit from within the car. Perhaps I’m not thinking clearly here though.

Exactly. As a safety feature, you don’t want to lock people inside a car with no means of getting out easily.
