CABELL COUNTY, WV (WOWK) - A suspect has been arrested in what the sheriff department says is the largest drug bust in Cabell County history.
According to Cabell County Sheriff Chuck Zerkle, 31-year-old Wayne Allen Cook Jr. was arrested in the Highlawn area.
Cook was reportedly arrested with an estimated $250,000 worth of drugs, including roughly 4.5 pounds of heroin.

The majority of fire and rescue calls are for overdoses.
The city is going broke having to pay for Narcan to revive people often as much as 6 times in one day or with 5 or 6 doses of Narcan.

Sad. Huntington used to be prosperous blue collar factory,rail and river town. How times have changed over forty years.
He had $250,000 worth of drugs, including 4.5 pounds of heroin. From movies like “Wait Until Dark” with Audrey Hepburn and Richard Crenna I would have thought 4.5 pounds of heroin would be worth more.
This is chicken feed. We would make nabs on hauls of dope coming across the border in back of pick up trucks on a regular basis worth 3-4 times this much.
It is good they got this off the street, no doubt, but largest bust in history for one town that has a huge drug problem it would seem they need to crack down just a wee bit harder.
