It’s always tricky to stain a wood floor as the stain will tend to highlight sanding imperfections, especially if any sanding was done cross-grain. Personally, I’ve always liked the simplicity of a clear finish over unstained flooring; oak, cherry, pine, whatever.
I agree, it is cold, sterile and uninviting. Even the patio lounge chairs are white.

It looks more like a hotel then a home. The backyard gets hardly any sun and the home is too close to other homes so no privacy. If I had money like that I would have an acre on all sides of me.
