Pelosi Says Sexual Harassment Accusations Against Rep. Conyers 'Must Be Investigated'
PJ Media ^ | 11-22-2017 | Michael van der Galien

Several women have accused Rep. John Conyers (a Democrat) of sexual harassment. They did this not publicly, in the media, but in court filings.

Another former staff member to Michigan Rep. John Conyers alleged that she endured persistent sexual harassment by the congressman, according to court documents. A former scheduler in the Conyers' office attempted to file a sealed lawsuit against him this February in the US District Court for the District of Columbia that alleges she suffered unwanted touching by the Democrat “repeatedly and daily.” She abandoned the lawsuit the next month, after the court denied her motion to seal the complaint.

The woman was not involved in the 2015 sexual harassment and wrongful dismissal complaint that Conyers settled in 2015, which was revealed Monday by BuzzFeed News, and is now under investigation by the House Ethics Committee.

The lawsuit centered on behavior that took place later, from 2015 to 2016, but involves similar allegations. The woman said that shortly after she started to work for Conyers he began to make sexual advances in the form of inappropriate comments and touching.

“These behaviors and actions were so common and pervasive that they created a hostile work environment,” she alleged.

Unlike the settlement agreement at the center of a BuzzFeed News investigation released Monday, these court filings are public documents. BuzzFeed News was not able to reach the woman for comment. We are redacting her name to protect her privacy.

The former staffer says in the court documents that she had a "fatherly affection" for Conyers and "extreme admiration and respect for his legislative work as a Civil Rights icon."

Lucky for Conyers, the rats in the legislative branch are above the law, apparently.

Now watch for the slow roll as the government wheels begin to grind. A committee will be formed, they will have their first meeting next year. An agenda will be set, first witnesses will be called after the elections.

Etc. Etc. Etc.

“They did this not publicly, in the media, but in court filings.”

The person writes, not regularly, but how he thinks, maybe.

Pelosi has known all about this. We should demand that all ethics investigatiions be done publicly.

An amazing double standard.

Moore - 40 years accusations with no proof. HE MUST WITHDRAW IMMEDIATELY 24 HOUR NEWS COVERAGE.

Any democrat - recent and WITH MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF PROOF. Well, let’s take it slow. Investigate thoroughly, news in the local section of the local newspapers

THIS JUST IN---Conyers tells reporters he "knows nothing" about this-----he just read about it in the (cough) "newspaper"...

ROTFLOL. Nice try- Conyers is channeling Obama, Clinton and the Cherman prison guard.......all at the same time.

=========================================

Too bad for Conyers....he left an evidentiary paper trail WRT the shakedown of taxpayers to cover-up his crimes. In the public sector, his activities are prosecuted as serious crimes .........but elected officials are held to a higher standard. Crimes being committed by individuals elected to make our laws command a greater punishment.

Taxpayers demand the evidence be made public immediately.

The victims also have documents and non-disclosure agreements....and vile memories of this man.....that should be brought forth. They should not hesitate b/c America is on their side.

The behind the scenes power elite and deep state are up to something much more nefarious than “panty cop”. There is something going on here much different than what we are being spoon fed.

Nancy.... produce the spreadsheet showing the disbursement of +/- 15-million.

That amount is a serious payment.

How do taxpayers fund the settlements if there has been no investigating?

Investigate the investigators.

Democrats/Leftists never resign, never recuse, never give up; Accept incremental gains towards their communist march.

Republicans eat their own, try to please the left, and don’t accept incremental gains in their agenda.

She tried to file a sealed lawsuit earlier this year but her motion to have sealed was denied - as it should, John Conyers' taxpayer funded behaviors, are not immune from sunshine ... except IN congress & the so-called "ethics" committee.

This is starting to remind me of the congressional page scandal but now it is Paul Rino who has been keeper of the bag!

DRAIN THE SWAMP!
