My CAD draftsman does digital surrealist stuff like that all the time.

After a while you see so much and it begins to be boring.

Having no CAD draftsman, I’m not bored. Though I can’t imagine anything more wonderful than you being so surrounded by beauty that it palls. An enviable existence. My compliments to your draftsman.

Astonishing.

I love The Glass Castle——Moscow-——reminds me of Hopper.

I’d expect to see that in Chicago’s Art Institute on a wall of its own.

Mother raised me there. It's magic. And they have a Hopper, Nighthawks.

Pups are very friendly. They always get the chicken out of my chicken noodle soup. And they're CLEAN for Thanksgiving. Fluffy and good smelling.

How was your Thanksgiving?

I have Nighthawks here in my condo and saw it when they were at the MFA about 10 years ago. It was much larger than I imagined it would be.

Great Thanksgiving and I hope that yours was the same.I just sit and watch everyone do the work-——one of the few advantages to old age.:-)

That’s why I suggested the photograph would be on a wall of its own. Chicago has a lot of BIG paintings.

We went to a restaurant for dinner with the couple we celebrate all holidays with, and then to my niece’s for dessert. Incredible food and good company. And no cleanup.

I did!
Got to visit both of my brothers, and performed a little concert for the family with my star guitar student (who is also my grand-nephew). Only six months in, and he’s playing Pink Floyd, Van Morisson, Tom Petty, and the Stones.

A good time was had by all.

And penny got a whole plate of turkey! ;-)

Yeah for Penny!

What absolute fun! My brother is across the continent, but at least his daughter is nearby. Her son is a Marine and deployed, but he called his mother, which meant a lot.

Sounds delightful, and now on to Christmas which I always keep simple these days-——a few bottles of wine to several kind neighbors-——gift cards and checks to family.

I keep every Christmas ornaments out all year on shelves in the hallway. No prep. We used to have big house parties for Christmas, with people coming from around the country. Nowadays it’s just us and Lyn and her husband and we alternate homes for dinner. Getting to the point where Christmas, too, will have to be at restaurants.

I’ve just started a new project. I’m going through the hundreds of menus I’ve collected over the decades and I’ll put up some from closed restaurants. Do you remember Charda’s, a Hungarian restaurant in Brookline with the BEST chilled cherry soup?

I so remember trying to be photo arty when I was young. Good I didn’t see these then or I wouldn’t have bothered. Though getting there at the right time for the right light, and making your way to a location with the best view... Those are things I don’t regret are past. Hard work to create so much beauty.
