A man who survived last month's Las Vegas gun massacre has been killed in a hit and run while hitchhiking.

Roy McClellan, who was caught up in the mass shooting that left 58 people dead at a concert, died on State Route 160 in Pahrump, around 50 miles west of Las Vegas.

His widow, Denise McClellan, said she was struggling to understand her 52-year-old husband's fate.

She told KSNV-TV: "This isn't what I wanted for him. I don't understand why he wasn't taken at the shooting, but a month later he was taken this way.

"I hope my husband found peace and he's safe now."

She said the shooting was "really messing with his head and he was going to therapy".

The Nevada Highway Patrol has said it is trying to trace the driver of a Chevrolet Camaro with damage to its front in the wake of the incident.

Dennis and Lorraine Carver died after their vehicle crashed into a metal gate outside their community in Riverside County on Oct. 16 and burst into flames...

2010 Mercedes. Did the engine go for a walk after the crash?

I think you mean “sympathy”, not “remorse”. Feeling remorse is feeling regret for something you did.

I think she is in shock because he survived gunfire from a firing squad and died doing something so routine for him, although hitchhiking is a pretty dangerous thing to do.

“Still, a man on the East Coast allegedly killed himself and his daughter the day after being visited by the FBI (may or may not be related to Vegas).

Something like 37 vehicles responded to the fiery car crash, including the FBI and other feds (no jurisdiction over a car crash). May or may not be related to the shooting.

An attorney for the concert was questioned by the FBI and said their questions were unusual, or strange; and he died thereafter in his sleep.

All plausible.

But things to note, just in case a larger pattern develops.”

Why did the FBI get involved in those three incidents ?

“This isn’t what I wanted for him. I don’t understand why he wasn’t taken at the shooting, but a month later he was taken this way....I hope my husband found peace and he’s safe now.”

Yeah, that sounds weird to me, too. “Found peace and is safe now”? Maybe just the stress as you say.

One was a 28 yrs old woman that died in her sleep. The 2 that died in a car wreck. A young man found shot in an abandoned house. This guy. An engineer killed his disabled daughter then himself the day after his home was raided by the FBI.

It's suspicious because the whole darn thing is suspicious.

I don’t mean sympathy, I think I may have been referring to the ‘coldness’ of her statement and by remorse I was attempting to convey that I don’t think she was ‘caring’ enough??

But I kind of gave her an out when I said a ‘buzzard’ (reporter) may have pressed her till she blurted something out that he could ‘use’.

Ok, I am aware you know the meaning of remorse BUT I am going to pull my ‘depends what is is’ card and ‘throw this at you’. <: <: <: (They don’t call me MISTER Anal for nothing)

Maybe just the stress as you say.

Or maybe there were some sort of complications in his life about which these statements would make sense. Surely his wife would know, if anyone would.

That certainly seems like something to keep an eye on.
