I can remember being in Galway, Ireland and seeing prams with plastic covers covering the babies while mom was inside shopping. The shops in Europe are considerably smaller than American ones. Plus, in the 80’s, Ireland reminded me of what I thought America was like in the 50’s. I hitchhiked everywhere in Ireland with no problems.

I had to travel to northern NH for work in 2001 to a small town called Littleton. It was winter and early morning on a school day and I remember seeing the children walking down Main Street to school just like they have done for decades.
