If they are out of control, can’t Chicago police act if traffic violations or other laws are broken? Instead they let suburban cops arrest them when they arrive in the suburban cops jurisdiction????

I don't know what happened with all the "3 strikes" laws but there certainly should be some rapidly escalating penalties for people who are convicted of more than a few crimes.... i.e., once someone proves to be a serial offender who never does "get it together" it should be more feasible to put them away for longer and longer prison terms. The idea that these thugs should go back out on the streets after dozens and dozens of crimes is simply outrageous.

This is so sickening. My Mother, grandparents, aunts, uncles and sadly a friend who passed this year, are ALL at the cemeteries in Hillside. I just told my dad yesterday, with no knowledge of this story, that I fear it will get to the point where I won’t feel safe going to the cemetery. Dammit

Every funeral procession I've seen in my 80 years here in rural Texas, is an orderly, single file of vehicles with their headlights on, proceeding at a sedate speed.

Oncoming vehicles typically pull off to the side of the road, and, out of respect, wait for the procession to pass.
