The GOP hates it’s base. Embracing that base gets them no points for social signalling, and doesn’t put money in their owner’s pockets. They hate you, and the people who own them really hate you.
I mostly agree with you, but if Roy Moore can’t unequivocally come to his own defense over pedophilia charges, he shouldn’t expect others to do so.
