I’ve heard a law practice involving domestic law is dangerous.
Divorce cases with spouses ready to kill each other, and thrown in minor children and custody issues and it can really be volatile. Just like police who have to go out to investigate domestic incidents.
It could have been a run of the mill employee going postal. That would be my second guess.
