Caused by Global Warming?
Yes, there is a possible, and unproven, mechanism explaining how global warming can cause earthquakes.
Global warming causes increased evaporation, thus increased snowfall. If there is a net movement of ice towards or away from the equator, the moment of inertia changes. Thus the speed of the outer solid shell (mantle) of the Earth changes. This increases/decreases shear in the liquid zone between the solid core and solid mantle. This changes the forces underneath the continents, thus increasing/decreasing earthquakes.
There is no evidence that this is happening to a degree that would actually change things. No one knows right now. I tend to doubt that it is happening based on what I have read.
