How so? The last two wars in Europe necessitated us going there to stop them from coming here. If we are already there for the next one, we have the advantage and/or we could stop it before it starts.

I’m of the opinion that we should have been aggressive towards these countries long before now, especially over their stance on Israel. And especially when Germany recognized the independence of Croatia and Slovenia, we should have put that move down (since it resulted in the Bosnia war that Clinton dragged us into), but the first Bush ended up backing down. To them.

You make some sense, I admit. However, Clinton’s Bosian war where we shouldn’t have fought in the first place and probably on the wrong side is hardly a good example for keeping troops and nukes in Europe.

At some point Europeans need to toughen up. We’ve protected them too long and they are both soft and ungrateful and it is as much our fault as theirs.
