And then there are all the fake job postings put our “to comply with EEOC” when they have already chosen their candidate. The job either disappears very quickly and/or sets hoops that virtually no one could hop though (i.e. qualify for).
Saw this 10 years ago when a “boss” decided - “Hey what if we got ONE guy who could do all THREE jobs?!”
He truly thought he was brilliant with that one. Or original.
It was all I could do to bite my lip and NOT say “Anybody like that isn’t going to work for 1/3 (or less) of what they could get consulting, or more, nor put up with your drama queen fits.
I didn’t say a thing. He was announcing it to about 3 other people so I let them pat him on the back for “brilliant thinking”.
I say, why not get a guy who can do all 150+ jobs? Then we could REALLY save some money!!
