California AG threatens to prosecute businesses that help in immigration sweeps. New California Declares Independence From Rest Of State...

California employers assisting Immigration and Customs Enforcement in a reported widespread immigration crackdown will be prosecuted, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra said on Thursday. His warning comes amid reports that U.S. immigration agents were planning mass sweeps targeting illegal immigrants within the Northern California communities. Under the state’s new Immigration Worker Protection Act, businesses and employers providing information about employees to immigration authorities could face fines of up to $10,000, The Sacramento Bee reported.

So states are free to decide which federal laws they want to enforce? Great. Texas should no longer allow abortions or homosexual marriage. What’s fair for the Leftist goose should be fair for the Rightist gander.

Under the state’s new Immigration Worker Protection Act...

States don't have the authority to pass immigration laws. This will be thrown out.

Take out Xavier Beccerra(?). That will end the problem. He is a corrupt scumbag. Would be in prison if Sessions did his job with the Awan matter.

I’m trying not to pile on, or cast blame, but shouldn’t the Attorney General of The White House be slapping this rhetoric down fast and hard? To use bad English, “I’m not hearing nothing!”

This vaguely reminds me of all those stories of tech workers ordered to TRAIN their own H1B Indian replacements.

There is nothing in the law that requires the employer to participate in a raid.

If the feds want to do an audit the employer must provide a place to work for the auditors and give them access to the employment files.

No one co-operated with Bush when he was raiding packing plants in 2007-2008.

The Mexican Attorney General of California forbids honkeys to Aid Law Enforcement Officers:

I find that supremely Mexican.

Very authentic!

I wish the California AG would do just that. Light the fuse, go ahead. He’ll have the largest class-action lawsuit in history dropped on his desk, and since it will be argued in federal court, Mexifornia is bound to lose in the end. What was it Clint Eastwood said?
