I was in Midtown Manhattan with my daughters on Saturday, and, veteran of demonstrations that I am, I was very unimpressed with the 2018 version of the “women’s march”.
NYPD, of course, was very well prepared, but honestly, I passed Trump Tower four times between 1pm and 4pm (the official march was over on Sixth), and if you didn’t know about it from the media and thought all the cops were there for a convention, you wouldn’t have noticed the “march”.
We were at the American Girl Store for a lot of it, about a half block in from Sixth, and didn’t hear a peep.
Only one sign upset my littlest one, and that wasn’t even about women.
I think it was kind of a dud.
Thanks for the good report.
I wasn’t in the area of the Miami event; could very well be that the media hyped it. Like I said, no proof of 4,000 attendees. And no counter point of view, as though EVERYONE agrees with these kooks.
I can tell you when Trump arrives at Mar-a-Lago and is greeted by those applauding him, the Miami media almost ALWAYS points out the haters.
No, that’s NYC’s way of protesting. It’s always like that. We don’t do good protests. You have to go to London if you want to see out-of-control mobs. (Or maybe some of our smaller US cities.)
