Yeah! I saw The Temptations live in the early 1970s, great group live but you can’t beat the Motown house band in their recordings.

Drifters? I always thought that was Ben E. King!
PS. THE DRIFTERS ROCKED, BUT THIS THREAD (respectfully) belongs to Dennis Edwards.

'It was his rough-and-tough signature voice that helped guide the Temptations through its funk-psychedelic period on classic tunes such as Cloud Nine, Ball of Confusion (Thats What the World is Today), Papa Was a Rollin Stone and I Cant Get Next to You.'

Lucky you!
I’m a girl who had an Auntie who was just the right age to fall in love with all of the Motown artists. I can’t even begin to count the hours we spent in her room, furniture pushed aside, rugs rolled up, trying to learn new dance moves and the record player going for hours on end!
Good Times! :)

I learned the dances back then from watching the featured girl dancers on Hullabaloo. Problem is, I think I only learned the girl’s part.

No, Hullabaloo started later than the time frame in my memory. It must have been Shindig.
