Now, they want to destroy the school building. It is just brick and mortar. It had nothing to do with the tragedy.

To call for the destruction of a mindless, not alive building is nothing more than liberal 'feel goodism'.

Maybe I am unfeeling, but I think the building should be left as a monument for two reasons.

One, to honor the lives that were lost and the lives that will be forever affected by this tragedy.

Two, also as a monument exposing the stupidity that prepared the fertile ground that allowed this tragedy to sprout and come into being.

I noticed from interviews that there are quite a few well-poised well-spoken students at that school. They were giving good accounts of their experiences without stumbling, searching for words or speaking in slang. Impressive given the trauma they had just been through.

Perhaps they were selected out for that but the press hasn’t done than in previous situations like this. They usually stick a microphone in front of anyone who is willing to speak.
