I'm a huge fan of D.C. Comics. I think their characters are more legendary and creative than Marvel.

Other than the Batman reboot and Wonder Woman, D.C. Comics haven't done jack at the box office or in terms of creating a viable franchise.

All of the Marvel movies with probably the sole exception of Fantastic Four has hauled @ss at the box office.

I really thought this movie would be Marvel's Waterloo, but I'm eating crow. I guess either fans got tired of the racist crap and decided to spend their money to shut the haters up or it truly was a spectacular movie without the PC and SJW crap. I'll definitely catch it on a matinee now.

Just saw it. There is very little SJW crap in it. Only a couple of comments by the bad guy. There IS a one world order undercurrent that only comes into play at the end. The characters are pretty good. Some good action mixed in with a pretty decent story. I have to say that I never read comic books as a kid so I don’t really know the history of the Black Panther - just what they presented in the movie.

My kid really wanted to see it, so I took him. There were a couple of things that had he and I rolling our eyes, but it certainly was not enough to ruin the story for us. Pretty good movie all the way around. Very entertaining.

I read a lot of super-hero comics as a kid, and over all I preferred Marvel. The only DC characters that strike me as legendary are Superman and Batman. Movie-wise, I thought Man of Steel was boring, but I thought Batman v Superman (director's cut) was decent, and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot!) was quite good. Even though I preferred Marvel comics, I have grown bored with the Marvel movie franchise. I never cared for the movie version of Thor, which made him sort of a dumb jock. I'm kind of tired of modern super-hero movies making too big a deal about where the super-hero fits into modern society. I preferred the approach they took in Christopher Reeve's first outing, in which the world was grateful to have such a hero in their midst, and when Superman fought for "truth, justice and the American way".

I was never interested in Black Panther as a Marvel character. I also never cared for Dr. Strange.
