At the inception of the Tea Party, I was one of the folks standing on the street corner beating on a pan with a big wooden spoon. We made a bunch of racket at the traffic light and got lots of thumbs up to our protest.

Yes, but the original Tea Party you represented rocked it on their own dime. Nobody paid their airfare to go to DC, or for their shoe leather on the local street corners. The original Tea Party wasn’t a PAC production, but a people production that roused a nation.
What was done to the Tea party by scum Obama and Lerner was impeachable and deserving of prison. Just comparing Watergate standards is enough. This country has destroyed the rule of law.
