Beware the semantic trap. There are only two (biologically determined) sexes. There are, however, countless “genders” (a socio-psychological construct).

My 1983 Websters New Universal Unabridged Dictionary disagrees. It allows only Male, Female and Neutral (Genderless). I doubt you will find anyone referring to gender as a "socio-psychological construct" before the 1990's. Of course, if you don't the definition of a word, change it! Easy to do if you own the education system. My 2003 American Heritage College Dictionary allows unlimited options.

I argued with them a lot given my nature and they didn’t seem to mind since I wasn’t disruptive

And they never penalized my grades if I did the work

When you pay good money for a college degree,you expect something in return,like an honest education. Learning the wrong things & being a “yes man” is not acquiring an honest education. I guess the mistake Ingle made was in not picking the right school. He should demand his money back;no need to pay for something like that when bad advice can be found for free almost anywhere.

Look out for that. As soon as I pointed out, here on FR, that the dictionary definition of marriage was ‘the union of one man and one woman’, the dictionaries all changed their definitions. The secondary definition of marriage now includes the unions of two men or two women.
