This proves the point I was making a few minutes ago on a Christian forum. These kids are useful idiots. And my definition there is this:
The phrase, “useful idiot” has a meaning in the common vernacular. They are people who have heard one side of a story and jump on the bandwagon like it is truth handed down from God. Kids tend to do that. I was one once. I remember how my mind worked.
And part of it is a desire to, now that you’re not a “child”, glom onto some injustice and “make a difference”. The desire is strong, and it is a good thing.
But young people are easily manipulated. This is why, when I worked in downtown Seattle for a couple of decades, the guys running the Lyndon Larouche table on the street were always of a certain age group. They were in their “useful idiot” stage in life. But every year they had to find a new crop because last years kids matured and wised up.
Lenin coined the phrase ‘Useful Idiots.’ It is chilling to see kids used like this with folks gullible enough to jump on the bandwagon. At the top, they know too well.
I was NEVER a glomoner. I was conservative by 5. Hell I was conservative at 3. Dad had me on his shoulders walking through a train station. I spotted a hippie. I said quite loudly “Dad look at that bug”. Snickers from the crowd and a glower from said bug and probably a 2 inch height gain for my dad. We got home and told my mom, this one is a keeper. I was a funny kid. At 4 when Santa showed up I wanted to know why he was wearing grandpa’s shoes, and where is grandpa?
