Britain needs to start knighting men who actually contribute to preserving their sovereignty. Both of them.

Dear Queen Elizabeth:

Once again, I note with regret, that you have overlooked Rick Rescorla when bestowing knighthood. As I know you know, Rick Rescorla was a famous soldier from Cornwall who distinguished himself as a warrior for many decades. It is his picture that appears on the cover of the now classic book We Were Soldiers Once – And Young. He is also the man credited with saving 2700 lives during the World Trade Center attack on 9/11 – and losing his own life in the process. His life was the epitome of knightly virtue – he lived by the knightly code – he slew dragons – and he saved damsels in distress. It is now 17 years after he died his noble death, and you have not seen fit to honor him with a knighthood. Instead, you bestow this great honor on entertainers, and athletes, and others. I do not understand how Elton John can be a knight while Rick Rescorla is ignored. This oversight cheapens the honor of knighthood. I guess you have overlooked him because he does not dress in pink feathers and play the piano for you.
