I thought he was great in “Wall Street”, had the best line in the movie....
“Man looks in the abyss, there’s nothing staring back at him. At that moment, man finds his character. And that is what keeps him out of the abyss.”
Didn’t know it was him in the flick. In the book I do believe he offered everything to the kid since he was old. Likable kid but headstrong. Listened to no one.
I have not seen that movie, but I remember it coming out in the 80s.
Strangely enough, that line from Wall Street seems to apply to this movie, Into the Wild.
When I was in grad school at the U of Wyoming, saw his act “Mark Twain Tonight” which was great. Only interesting feature as his mustache came loose during the performance.
